    Bio Kathleen (Katie) Watson, Ph.D., received a BA in psychology and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies at New York University. From 2007 to 2012, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Microclinic International (MCI). During that time, the organization established public health programs in Jordan, India, Kenya, and the United States. Katie currently serves MCI as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and as a research investigator. In 2020, she received a Ph.D. in Epidemiology at Stanford University while managing research operations at the Stanford Center for Neuroscience and Women’s Health (SCWNH). Katie is currently a postdoctoral scholar candidate in the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.
    Dr. Watson’s research focuses on integrating causal inference, epidemiologic methods, and additional quantitative tools into psychiatric research. This approach aims to harness the power and scale of these tools to arrive at helpful schemas for psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.

    Joseph Wielgosz

    Bio Joseph Wielgosz, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Sierra Pacific MIRECC, VA Palo Alto Healthcare System and Stanford University. His research focuses on using digital health and neuroscience-informed approaches to improve evidence-based treatment of PTSD and related emotion disorders, as well as mindfulness-based interventions for emotional health.
